It's recess! Today was the third day of the June Holiday Remediation Programme. I felt just like in school. (Except that the the school hours were slightly shortened.) The good news was that there were 6 periods of Mother Tongue today. Hooray, I love Mother Tongue lesson! Oh, where was I? Oh yes, let's continue.

Some stalls in the canteen were closed. Apparently, the stallholders didn't want to drag their lazy bodies to school for just half an hour of business. I don't blame them for that. I was buying a drink and a bun when suddenly I was informed to see Miss Sharon Toh, who was standing outside the canteen. Snowden led me to her. She told me that there was a competition today. A Maths competition. And we needed to go out of school now, to participte in it. Besides me, Snowden, Matthew, Li Yin, Ling Yun and Fauzan also needed to go. Ling Yun seemed quite happy about it. He told me that he loved skipping classes(with great excuses)! After all, this WAS a great excuse!

I was a little dissapointed that I had to skip Mother Tongue lesson. There were still 2 periods left! Oh well, guess I don't have a choice but to go. I'll still get a certificate anyway! Ling Yun and I ran up to class to pack our bags. When we were done with that, we ran down to meet Miss Sharon Toh. When we saw her, she was talking on her mobile phone. When the call ended, she suddenly annouced that we don't need to go for the competition. "Why?" I asked curiously. She explained that the competition was a 60 min paper. It had already started. By the time we reached the place, the test would have already ended. (It was called "Maths Talent Quest" by the way.) I had mixed emotions: Elated and Dissapointed.

Elated, because I wouldn't have to miss any lessons. Disappointed, because I waved bye-bye to my certificate! Ling Yun said that he didn't mind at all. I agreed with him too. What's there to be sad about when there are still 2 periods of Mother Tongue lesson? We suddenly realised that recess haven't ended. Both of us started heading to our class to put down our heavy bags. On the way, we met some friends like Jeremy and Jonathan. They asked the same question, "Where are both of you going with your bags?" Ling Yun and I just smiled and say that we tried to play truant and cut class. We told them that we were climbing over the school gates when we were stopped by one of the school guards. We were going to see our principal after we put our bags. Lol... Nice joke, don't you think so? And guess if they believed what we had said?

Of course they didn't. Haha... Remind me to ask them to laugh tomorrow! :P

POLL

What are your feelings about Mas Selamat Kastari's escape from detention centre?
I'm confident that the Singapore Authorities will round him up soon.
The Singapore Government has done a good job of keeping the country safe thus far. It's no big deal.
I think he will try to get in touch with other Jemaah Islamiah leaders and escape.
Huh? What are you talking about? Who is Mas Selamat Kastari?
