These are some interesting pictures that someone sent me in an email. Those people who made them are sure creative!

This is my favourite! The whole Fruity Dragon is made up of what seems to be the skins of some fruits. Some of the parts are made from other kinds of fruits.

This is the back of the Fruity Dragon. Examine the "scales" closely!

This is a Sour Puss. Haha! Most of its body is composed of orange peels!

Talk about being GOLDfishes!

A Grape Bird on a stick. Looks dead.

As you can see, creativity can really transform all things that seem normal around us into amazing new objects. So why not think out of the box and create something fun! :)

Have you ever had an experience with Lousy Services? When I mean lousy, I mean rude, comtemptuous and impatient attitudes towards people. Yes, I'm talking about people like stall-owners. Well, I had my experience today at Vista Point. I'll share it with you...

Normally, if you have a bad experience at somewhere or with some people, you will not name the latter. But I WILL tell you where I had this fustrating experience and warn you to think twice about visiting the place. Do you go to A Star Bookshop at Vista Point? (The one that is on the second level, near to the foodcourt.) Let me tell you, if you do, DON'T go there! The stall-owner's customer service attitude SUCKS.

I went there today with my brother while my parents were still eating at the foodcourt. I walked in and asked the stall-owner, which was a man, whether some DM cards were available. He did not even bother to look at me and muttered, "No." I had been expecting that answer anyway and proceeded to take a look around the store. Currently, there were no other customers inside the store. I was just browsing through some books and looking around when all of a sudden, the old man said to me, "Hey, don't touch everything you see" in a rude manner. I was taken aback at first but then ignored him. Next, I brought my brother to another corner of the store to look at some other books. Again, I had a look around and flipped through some pages of a book. "Hey," a voice came. I saw a stall assistant and knew at once what was about to happen. "These books are for little kids. Don't touch everything you see here!" At this point of time, I was extremely fustrated but still did not say anything. "One more time," I decided, "I would give them a piece of my mind."

The same thing happened later. This time, the stall-owner himself walked towards me and bellowed, "Don't you know how to follow instructions? I asked you not to touch everything you see around here. If you don't know how to listen to instructions, GO OUT!" This time, that was the last straw! My heart was burning with rage and I glared at him and retorted, "IS THIS THE WAY YOU RUN YOUR BUSINESS?!?" I thought to myself, "What kind of attitude is this? It's not like my brother and I are causing any trouble for him. If he wants to sell his books, how can he not allow people to browse???"

The stupid stall-owner glared back at me and thundered, "GET OUT! GET OUT OF HERE! DON'T COME BACK TO THIS SHOP!!!" "Fine," I thought to myself, "I will NEVER come back, not that I want to!" Don't you think that old man deserves a telling-off? I think he must have had a bad day, bullying kids! As I stomped out of the shop, some curious people stared at us, wondering what was happening. I walked out of the shop in a huff and went to Basic Point instead. I concluded that the idiotic shop-owner was officially CRAZY. He's a hooligan, a lunatic, a wacko, and ought to be sent to an asylum (mental hospital).

How can he run a business when he's the one driving the customers away? I told my mother about it and she tried going into the shop. When she came out, she told me that although she was browsing through the books, nothing happened. "So," I thought, "the nincompoop doesn't dare to scold ADULTS." Oh well, I'll just wish that MORON good luck in running his shop as sooner or later, no one will ever visit that place due to his impolite and contemptuous attitude.

Thinking about it, I ought to reprimand him even more about his business attitude! The point of this post is to inform all readers: DO NOT GO TO VISTA POINT'S A STAR BOOKSHOP ON THE SECOND STOREY!!! You do not want to be another poor victim of this stupid shop-owner!

We interrupt this program to bring you this announcement: PSLE is over! PSLE is HISTORY!!! (What a catchy rhyme :P) Now that the dreaded exam is long gone, there is absolutely nothing else to worry about. EXCEPT THE RESULTS. Here's how the system goes:

1) The dreaded PSLE is around the corner. :(
2) The dreaded PSLE is HISTORY! :) (You got to love that rhyme!)
3) The dreaded PSLE results is revealed! :( / :)

Which one will it be? I don't know yet. But the point is, I've tried my best. No matter what kind of results I get, I will not sigh and think about not putting in any effort to prepare for this exam. Because I DID prepare and sacrifice a LOT for this exam. (The Maple Decision)

Well, the curse is lifted. Back to Mapling!!!
Chiong Level liao! :)

Okay. This post is about the PSLE Science Examination. Here's my comment on the Examintion: IT WAS FREAKIN' HARD!!! (Hmm... Another word that starts with an 'F' would describe the exam better...) I thought the Maths Exam will be the hardest. I was WRONG. The paper asked a lot of questions that are not commonly tested in normal practice. There were some questions that I was not sure of the answer. Tikum-tikum lor. What else is there to do? Leave it blank? At least trying is better than not trying. There is still a chance to gain some marks. (The chance is very slim, though.) :(

I hate it when after an exam, I know that even without the results, I had lost a few marks. That was what happened today. I knew I got the first question wrong after Fauzan said something aobut it. It was a cell question. They gave you a few choices and ask you to determine whether it is an animal or a plant cell by looking at the structure. As I was concentrating on answering other questions, I gave the wrong answer. Actually, both cells were plant cells. But there was no choloplasts in the first diagram. So, I naturally assumed that it was an animal cell. What I failed to notice was that although there was an absence in chloroplast... THERE WAS A CELL WALL!!!

Omg! Kena tricked by that question. With that, I waved goodbye to 2 marks. Well, it's over. I will be expecting to get about 70 marks or so. The chances of getting 260 marks as an aggregate seems to be VERY, VERY slim. Tomorrow will be the final battle in PSLE: Higher Mother Tongue. I don't worry much about it. The score doesn't count in the aggregate and will only come in useful when fighting for a place in Secondary Schools. Anyway, I had always been getting fairly good results in chinese, thanks to my Mother Tongue teacher, Mdm Chen Cong.

On to the Final Battle!
(Hope it will be easier than what I expect.) -_-''

The Earth's water is always in movement, and the water cycle, also known as the hydrologic cycle, describes the continuous movement of water on, above, and below the surface of the Earth. Since the water cycle is truly a "cycle," there is no beginning or end. Water can change states among liquid, vapour, and ice at various places in the water cycle, with these processes happening in the blink of an eye and over millions of years.

The water cycle has no starting or ending point. The sun, which drives the water cycle, heats water in the oceans. Some of it evaporates as vapour into the air. Ice and snow can sublimate directly into water vapour. Rising air currents take the vapour up into the atmosphere, along with water from evapotranspiration, which is water transpired from plants and evaporated from the soil. The vapour rises into the air where cooler temperatures cause it to condense into clouds. Air currents move clouds around the globe, cloud particles collide, grow, and fall out of the sky as precipitation. Some precipitation falls as snow and can accumulate as ice caps and glaciers, which can store frozen water for thousands of years.

Snowpacks in warmer climates often thaw and melt when spring arrives, and the melted water flows overland as snowmelt. Most precipitation falls back into the oceans or onto land, where, due to gravity, the precipitation flows over the ground as surface runoff. A portion of runoff enters rivers in valleys in the landscape, with streamflow moving water towards the oceans. Runoff, and ground-water seepage, accumulate and are stored as freshwater in lakes. Not all runoff flows into rivers. Much of it soaks into the ground as infiltration.

Some water infiltrates deep into the ground and replenishes aquifers (saturated subsurface rock), which store huge amounts of freshwater for long periods of time. Some infiltration stays close to the land surface and can seep back into surface-water bodies (and the ocean) as ground-water discharge, and some ground water finds openings in the land surface and emerges as freshwater springs. Over time, the water continues flowing, some to reenter the ocean, where the water cycle renews itself.

Mr Chua once said that the PSLE Maths Examination goes in a pattern. It goes like this: The first year may be hard, the next year might be easy. Unfortunately, he also predicted that this year's PSLE Mathematics was going to be hard. I think he was quite right... I will rate the Maths Paper today an 8 from a scale of 1 to 10.

I expect to get around 80 marks. So even if that happens, I will be prepared. The good news is, if all the PSLE candidates' results drop due to the difficulty of the paper, the scores for grades will also drop. Example: A* is originally 91 marks. A drop will mean maybe about 85 marks for the grade. Well, I don't reckon I can get an A* anyway.

But what mattered more importantly was that I had tried my very best. I revised like hell the day before this exam. 6 Long Hours! But it was worth it anyway. Some of the questions in the paper stumped me the first round I was doing it, so like always, I will skip them. Once I finished whatever questions that can be done, I refer back to the skipped ones. I managed to solve about 5 questions that I skipped. I just had a BRAINWAVE. I suddenly seemed to remember the important concepts Mr Chua taught me. Here's the concept: In a sum, most of the time, there will be a constant principle that is not changed. For example: difference

Using this method, I managed to solve 2 sums that stumped me earlier on. Whew! That was close. The number of questions I skipped that time was starting to worry me! Anyway, I also saved a few marks at least by analysing the question from another degree. I do not know whether my answer was correct but I may be able to save some marks! I spent the last ten minutes checking my answer instead of attempting the last 2 sums I had no confidence in. Before the exam, I already made up my mind that I will not attempt any difficult questions that I think I will not be able to solve. So, in the end, I checked Section B and some questions from Section C. I was glad I did that for I spotted a careless mistake that could have cost me!

Think about it: If you decide to solve a difficult problem within the last ten minutes, you may NOT be able to solve it due to time constraint and even worse, there may be careless mistakes in the easier questions earlier on! So I was relived to know that I had made the right choice.

Okay, Maths is over. I will not think about it anymore. It's Mother Tongue (Chinese) tomorrow. On to REVISION!

Phew! The PSLE English Language Paper was just over. That includes Paper 1 and 2. For paper 1, I think I can get at least 32 marks as I stuck to the storyline and included a lot of good words and phrases. Yes, I'm pretty confident. For Paper 2, it was easier than what I had expected. In fact, I think it was slightly easier than the Prelims! Oh well, this is going to be a pretty short post as there is nothing else much to be said...

Wait... There is something else I want to share. What spurs you on when you face a challenge? What spurs you to ENDURE through it? For my case, it is the rewards I get after PSLE. Nope, not rewards like presents. The rewards I am referring to are the fruits of my labour. It signifies one's result of one's own hard work. I am really hoping that I can get at least 260 marks for PSLE. Well, back to my Maths Revision. I hope that the Mathematics Examination tomorrow will also be easier than what I had in mind. *GULP* o_O

Good luck to all candidates!

What are your feelings about Mas Selamat Kastari's escape from detention centre?
I'm confident that the Singapore Authorities will round him up soon.
The Singapore Government has done a good job of keeping the country safe thus far. It's no big deal.
I think he will try to get in touch with other Jemaah Islamiah leaders and escape.
Huh? What are you talking about? Who is Mas Selamat Kastari?
